GLOSSARY
artifact
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Two distinct senses. In image, video, and audio work it means an unwanted distortion introduced by the method itself — flicker, ringing, blockiness — something to be measured and removed. In software engineering and reproducibility contexts it means the deliverables shipped alongside a paper: code, data, trained weights, as in artifact evaluation. One you apologise for; the other you release.
