Definition
Places no constraint on something. Applied to camera rigs it means the method does not assume a fixed number of cameras, fixed mounting positions, or fixed intrinsics — a generalisation claim with real deployment weight, since a model tied to one vehicle's exact rig has to be retrained for the next one. In theoretical statements the same word carries the universal-quantifier sense of holding for every instance; context distinguishes the two.
