GLOSSARY
applications
appears in 4 paper titles
Definition
The practical uses a method can be put to. A title containing "applications" usually signals a survey or position paper — the contribution is a map of where a technique fits, not a new technique. Note the software sense: an application can also mean a single program, but the plural in paper titles almost always means use cases.
