Definition

A fine-tuning recipe that gives a general instruction-following model agent behavior — planning, tool use, multi-turn interaction — by training on agent interaction trajectories. Its key design choice is mixing those trajectories with ordinary instruction data, so the model gains agent skills without losing general capability, the failure mode that agent-only fine-tuning tends to produce. It is a train-the-weights approach rather than a prompting one.
