agent-computer

Definition

The modifier in agent-computer interface (ACI), coined by analogy with human-computer interaction. The idea is that tools built for people — a raw shell, a full file dump, a terse error — are the wrong surface for a language model, and that redesigning commands and output formats for the agent's failure modes yields larger gains than swapping in a better model. It reframes agent performance as an interface design problem.
