Definition
A coined method name, not a general term. The field routinely gives a proposed approach a short invented label and refers to it by that name thereafter, so the letters carry no reliable meaning and guessing from the apparent parts will mislead you. Treat any such token as a pointer to a definition you have to read in the paper; a name that returns only one paper and its citations is almost always of this kind.
